I was so happy to read this book. His characterization of Lincoln's Whig philosophy as it pertains to the law was persuasive and interesting. So much grief might be avoided if people would be more honest with themselves and others. The title originally turned me off, despite the fact that I loved his book, "Listening to Prozac". It's not a keeper.
The data to back this research is pretty sparse. Everyone can put this to the test.. There is treasure here. The black depressions and alcohol dependence are not ignored; the analysis of his best-years-over-too-soon puts much of the blame where it belongson Krisand less on his political views, although those turned away the wide audience he had built. People who sell drugs--which may be a child's classmates--look like everyone else unless their appearance has been damaged by years of drug abuse.
