The book has the appearance of a children’s book, told in rhyme and complete with illustrations by Cleveland artist Cassie Hart. But parents should not be fooled— the book deals with some serious issues, including the treatment of cows in the production of milk and veal. Regarding the book, Mike Mannix writes, "For some the dark humor presented in the book will seem obnoxious and a bit self-indulgent. I would like to propose, however, that this humor has universal appeal and potentially serves as a point from which dialog around issues of vegetarianism and animal welfare can begin." This entire Kylie Kendall series is hilarious! If you want to laugh out loud, please read it now. In general, they went west with their husbands, to support their husbands in search of a better life, and they brought their civilized mindset with them.
This is an excellent book, appropriate for all audiences. I appreciated the care he took to separate the emotions in each chapter. We will be traveling to WDW in September 2016 and although I have been to Disney before, many, many things have changed so I needed something that would provided updated, clear information on FastPass+, Advanced Dining Reservations, Hotel Selection and general overall guidance regarding the Disney Parks. To them it is "Do not confuse me with the facts, I know the truth". The only part of the book I didn't like was his methodology/approach for testing of foods and products for Yes or Noseemed pretty out there.
